Membership
Commitment is required for a congregation to become a strong spiritual family. For those seeking to make P'nei Adonai their "spiritual home", we offer formal membership.
A prerequisite of membership is completing a curriculum of study about Messianic Judaism, so that a member is able to knowledgeably represent the congregation.
Membership benefits
- Support in worshipping and living a life identified with Yeshua
- Support in spiritual growth and the use of spiritual gifts
- Pastoral care, including officiating at lifecycle events
- Financial help for lifecycle events, if needed
- Financial help for conference attendance, if needed
- Congregational care, including prayer and sharing of resources
- Use of the congregational interest-free short-term loan fund, to deal with unexpected expenses
- Voting on budgetary matters, including adding new staff and setting staff wages
- Ability to have a leadership role
- Ability to receive congregational discipline, including removal from a leadership role
- Ability to speak on behalf of the congregation in an official capacity
Membership's responsibilities
- Maintain ability to represent congregation and Messianic Judaism to others
- Maintain spiritual growth and regular scripture study
- Participate in regular fellowship and prayer with other members and congregants
- Regularly meet with a "spiritual ally" for praise, prayer, and the sharing of self-discipline
- Attendance to at least one activity every two months (exceptions are available)
- Tithing either to P'nei Adonai or one of the approved charities
- Not intentionally physically harming someone at congregational activities, and not propagating disagreement with the congregation's purposes or statement of faith
